But the burglary team has just come back from attending a call, the atmosphere is lively and relaxed and not at all how police or their offices are portrayed on the telly. There I met PC Duncan Gumbs who completely changed my perception of the police and its officers.

The gloriously sunny day provided the perfect backdrop – reminiscent of a beach in the Caribbean – and despite the scorching heat, people turned up in their hundreds to see this wonderful show.
