  MAJOR OVERHAUL PLANNED FOR TRAFFORD’S CARE HOMES
  Current residents of Trafford’s residential care homes are being urged not to worry as a borough-wide consultation hints at a major shake-up of care provision in the long term. By Helen Clifton  
  tennis court    Trafford’s four remaining council-owned care homes - including Harry Lord House in Old Trafford - could be closed down and replaced with a single, purpose-built, “state-of-the-art” facility for older people.

  Renewal project comes to happy conclusion
   Fifteen years ago, Old Trafford and Gorse Hill were areas in decline, with falling house prices, communities facing various forms of deprivation and a large number of properties empty and abandoned.

   Peace Week in Old Trafford 2009
   Peace Week 2009 came to Old Trafford in March. Somewhere close to 300 people joined the lantern parade through Old Trafford on the Friday night.

  Read the full story by the OTN Team   Local sculptor Audrey Hayes’ work centres on the technique of using a chainsaw to cut wood and then torching the finished object. The intention of setting fire to wood is to produce an intense black colouring and the alteration of the woods surface caused by the formation of fissures.
